The Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, of the University System (LOSU), in article 78, point b, makes it clear that the Teaching Assistant Doctor/Lecturer who has won a position in this job category must take a course of initial teaching training, the characteristics of which will be established by the universities, in accordance with their units responsible for the training and teaching innovation of the teaching staff.

The University Teacher Training Unit has organized this training action, called "Initial Training in University Teaching", which must be carried out on a mandatory basis, throughout the first two years of the contract.
